Technology for Milling

Röders GmbH Externe Spindellängungskompensation

Roeders strictly goes for precision. For this reason, the compensation of the thermal and rpm-related elongation of the spindle shaft is implemented by an external, temperature-controlled holder fixed directly to the Z‑axis casting. This holder contains a sensor that measures the displacement of the spindle shaft with no contact in nanometre range.

Röders Maschinenbau große Werkzeugwechsler

The machines can be equipped with tool changers in various sizes with up to 199 tools and short changeover times if required. Extensions are available for even greater capacities.

Messlaser im Werkzeugwechsler

On all Roeders machines, the measuring laser and the calibration sphere are located outside the working area and are thus safely protected from chips, emulsion or oil.

Reinigungsdüsen

As an option, a solvent-based spray cleaning process can be used to clean the tools prior to measurement in the measuring laser, in order to achieve high-precision measurement results down to the sub-micrometre range, even after machining.

3D-Taster

After machining, workpieces can be measured with high precision directly in the machine using the 3D probe, and a comparison between target and actual dimensions can be carried out. This is also possible for free-form surfaces. The workpiece is cleaned beforehand using the cooling lubricant of the machine. On automated machines, the measurement results can be reported back to a higher-level database in the company network.

Emulsion, Öl und andere

Cooling lubricants commonly used in machining, such as emulsions, oil and minimum quantity lubrication, are available on Roeders machines. The lubricants are precisely temperature-controlled for high-precision machining. A suction system can be fitted for lubricants that produce mist or for materials that generate dust, such as graphite.

Mediumverteiler von MHT

The medium distributor from MHT GmbH has proven its advantages in numerous applications for optimum minimum-quantity lubrication and the blowing away of chips. This system enables achieving high-quality workpieces, often with extended tool life. After machining, the workpiece usually is nearly free of remainders of lubricant, as the lubricant evaporates almost entirely.
