
Features of the machine series
The four highly precise machine series of Roeders differ in the following key performance characteristics.

RPT machines
The RPT machines are Roeders’ latest development. Thanks to numerous design improvements and the refinement of the PRECITEMP® technology, the tolerances and surface roughness reliably machinable in many applications have been reduced by at least half compared to the proven RXP machines. In some cases, sub-micrometre levels are achieved.

RXP machines
With its RXP machines, Roeders achieved a breakthrough in the linear motor technology in year 2004. Well over 1,000 machines of the RXP500 alone were manufactured. Over the years, the machines have undergone continuous technological development, enabling them to achieve unrivalled precision in many applications.

RXU machines
The larger the machine’s machining area, the larger are the tools required for the application. Roeders has taken this into account and developed a particularly rigid machine design based on the QUADROGUIDE concept, which also allows the use of high-torque spindles. However, high-torque spindles are limited in terms of maximum rpm. For this reason, RXU machines often are built as “Z2” twin-spindle machines with two main spindles.

RHP machines
Due to the high precision of the RPT machines, with their extremely precise guideways provided by the NANOTOL® technology, the use of machines with hydrostatic guideways such as the RHP machines is now only justified in few specialised applications. In these cases, they can achieve for example a sub-micrometre roundness in small bores by grinding.
